but stay on the A2, the Toowoomba Bypass - known as Toowoomba

(it is especially treacherous in the rain)

Ray White Collective

In April, Ray White Collective, made of five businesses from across inner Brisbane, journeyed to the group’s

spiritual home, Crows Nest, to visit The Shed.

Ray White operations manager, Leesa Paull, said despite it being her third trip to Crows Nest, the chills still came as she walked down the pathway to The Shed.

The group arrived to be greeted by the secretary of the Historical Society, Kay Tyler, who had organised coffee, tea and freshly made damper at the front, along with a story from the volunteers about the Village.

“We then all walked down to The Shed and looked at all the memorabilia, awards and Elite book, it was very emotional for all who attended. It was the first trip to Crows Nest for so many of our staff including so many of our Elite agents,” Leesa said.

Principals Haesley Cush and Matt Lancashire then told stories at The Shed of the humble beginnings of Ray White and the journey to where we all are today. They took the opportunity to present the group’s quarterly awards and ran some very fun auctions reminiscent of the old auctions from the past.

“We left Crows Nest with warm hearts and fond memories that will last a lifetime for the Collective family and finished the day off with a cold beer at the Grand Esk Pub on the way home,” Leesa said.

Ray White Maroochydore

Earlier in the year, the Ray White Buderim and Maroochydore offices paid the Crows Nest Museum and Historical Village a visit to see the birthplace of the Ray White Group. They had the pleasure of road-tripping together to Crows Nest to see where it all began.

This humble tin shed will remain a highly valued piece of real estate for the White family for many years to come. It’s a reminder of one man’s ambition and determination and how we can all go further together.

Ray White Queensland Chairman’s Elite agents and business leader

In March, Ray White Queensland’s Chairman’s Elite agents and business leaders journeyed to The Shed with third generation leaders, Brian and Paul White for their first Chairman’s Elite recognition event of the year.

They journeyed via sprinter, travelling through Esk on the way to the village. During the bus trip, they played “The Shed that Dreamed” on approach. A poem by Rupert McCall written to honour Ray White, the group and our journey for our 120th anniversary in 2022.

They enjoyed the Chairman’s Elite presentation at The Shed along with a tour of the village where Paul was able to point out a photo of himself and Brian as children helping their auctioneer grandfather Ray in their father Alan White’s old family home.

Later, they enjoyed a beautiful lunch at Myrtille with snacks from the local bakery, My Little Blueberry, before returning to Brisbane via helicopter from the Crows Nest showgrounds
