If you’ve ever thought about owning your own island, now could be the time to find out what it’s like to have your own piece of paradise in the Whitsundays.

Victor Island is being offered for sale via auction, listed for sale by RWC Gold Coast agents Michael Willems and Matt Taylor, in conjunction with Ray White Rural Sarina agent Richard Murphy, on behalf of the mortgagee exercising power of sale.

“Victor Island is a private island in the Whitsundays and is one of a few privately owned perpetual leasehold islands,” Mr Willems said.

“This means the property is owned by the state and leased to the registered lessee subject to certain conditions.”

Located just 2km from the mainland off Salonika Beach, at the southern end of the Whitsundays, the 3.14ha island is surrounded by crystal clear waters with a 360 panoramic coastline. The island features a renovated four-bedroom home, separate caretaker’s cottage, helipad, rainwater storage, desalination plant, and solar farm.

“The island is eco-friendly and predominantly self-sufficient, powered by the sun and harvested rainwater, filtered for drinkability,” Mr Willems said.

“It’s its own sanctuary, with no neighbouring islands or other properties in close proximity it really is the perfect paradise hideaway.

“The island is ready for its new owners to move right in, or it’s ready for business and could be used as a holiday rental or exclusive year-round retreat.”

The property will be auctioned on 11 April, at 11am, at the Gold Coast Turf Club, Racecourse Drive, Bundall.
