Ray White Head of Growth (Strategy) Mark McLeod interviewed Megan Jaffe of Ray White Remuera in Auckland.

Megan Jaffe's journey is one of the most remarkable in our industry across Australia and New Zealand.

By working on her own leadership development, Ms Jaffe expanded her personal and professional scope from 'Megan Jaffe Real Estate' to what has been Ray White’s international number one office nine times.

Ms Jaffe created a platform of high expectations, unwavering leadership and support for her team.

She has taken a focus on developing sales people of the highest order, based on a central belief in delivering excellence at every opportunity to both her team and their clients.

“When I was getting going, Brian White told me to go out to the end of the diving board and jump off. But he didn’t tell me that the tide had gone out,” she said.

“My job is to draw the best out on people so they can be their best self.”

“I always believed I could do this. You have to feel the glimmers of hope. I learned early to find the glimmers in myself and with other people.” Ms Jaffe knew she had to grow, before the business could grow. “It’s been a personal journey. I am so proud of the people I get to work with.”

With over 21 years experience, Peter Diamantidis (pictured below) started in real estate at the young age of 15.

After learning the trade from the ground up, Peter has worn every hat there is in the real estate agency and today runs three Ray White businesses at St Mary’s, St Clair and Rooty Hill.

In the 2023 financial year he dominated the group for volume of sales achieving a staggering 336 sales while also taking out multiple awards for his property management business growth.

He spoke to the audience about how he manages to keep growing with a no limits mindset and what leadership means to him. His team has grown from just five to now 60 staff members in 2024.

“Ray White Group chairman Brian White came to my office when I first opened and he talked about leadership - it’s all about leadership,” he said.

“Our first achievement as a team was the Alan White property management business award in 2021.

“From that moment on we decided that we wanted more success and we had to do things as a team. From there we started to grow.

“I went to appraisals with them, taught them everything I could and put them in the deep end.

“So how do I lead my team? I conduct all my sales and property management meetings, I sit down with each team member to ask them about their goals, I discuss all marketing projects, I am present in their work lives and I am there for the highs and lows.”

Peter Catanzariti (pictured above) of Ray White Catanzariti Family Group on the Gold Coast said he loved the focus on property management at the inaugural Leadership Week.

“This has been yet another phenomenal Ray White event. I love that there’s been a focus on property management,” he said.

“I love that Michelle Lucas got up and showcased a strong female leader within our group. I think it is so important and it was a really interesting story to hear how she stepped up in the leadership sense, and in property management, which is an area that I take an interest in, in my business.”

Brisbane-based Kim Olsen (pictured above) of Ray White Kim Olsen Property said she loved the sharing and collaboration within the group.

“The experience that is here is incredible. That’s the beauty of the Ray White Group, how much people are willing to share across our huge group.”

Vivien Yap, and her son Matthew Yap (pictured above), of Ray White Dalkeith | Claremont said there had been some huge highlights for her.

“I love the collaboration from across the group. All these businesses here are sharing the secrets to their success. And it’s been a wonderful introduction for my son Matthew who has just joined my business,” she said.We are a family business operating inside the biggest family business in the property industry.”
