Marketing agent Jody Fewster, principal of powerhouse agency Ray White Cottesloe Mosman Park described the design style of the five bedroom riverside home as Hamptons, with French inspiration.

“It’s the finest house for sale across all of Perth, if not Australia. The attention to detail of the owners is impeccable and second to none. This house is irreplaceable.”

Owners Mark and Carmen Pozzi bought the block 10 years ago and spent two years planning their dream home.

“We simply love this area. The build took 4.5 years as we had so many issues getting local trades and suppliers and most products had to be imported from the US or the UK,” said Mark Pozzi, a Perth-based accountant.

“I have always loved Mosman Park and this street has the best view in Perth. I am a coastal boy from Hillarys and I would never buy anywhere that’s affected by the sea breeze but here we are protected from the afternoon breeze as we are on the northern side of the Swan River.

“It’s hard to build a timeless house in Perth as we had to import everything from overseas – the copper ceilings, the slate is from New England in the US as we wanted a specific colour of grey, and the wainscoting panels and light fittings are also from the US,” he said.

“We really wanted a house that someone wouldn’t know who it was. Some 30 years from now this house will look new and it will be the same with our next project.

“We did everything we could to the highest standard. Even the door thickness is extreme and we even had to dig the house down deeper to have 3.4m ceilings upstairs and downstairs.

“We took inspiration from our travels. The garage’s inspiration is from the pool at the Baccarat Hotel in New York, and also the Bentley dealership in London,” he said.

“The garage wall has panelling, and a checkerboard floor and it doesn’t feel like a garage but I love cars, it’s my vice and this garage is definitely not an afterthought. It can easily fit eight cars. We have even used the space as a disco for the girls’ and their friends.

“We also didn’t want to have technology on display, and the house has eight TVs, all hidden by custom made mirrors from the United Kingdom.

“It’s all custom made, you can’t get these TVs from JB Hi Fi. We are very proud of our house. There’s not too many houses like it, it has a warm feel and so many different entertaining spaces.”

“Any female will love the master wardrobe but for me it’s the north facing balcony on the front of the house and you don’t feel the breeze, plus the view over the river to the city is beautiful. It’s such a good house for entertaining and relaxing down by the pool.

“We work hard and love sharing our house with friends and family.”

Carmen Pozzi said the design brief was to create a resort style home. “It’s literally like we’re in a high end hotel as we took a lot of inspiration from our travels,” she said.

“We wanted a beautiful place for our daughters. who are 11 and 8, to have fun in. They have their own dressing rooms too which they love.”

“We built it as our forever home, that’s why we had such attention to detail, with thanks to Penelope Thompson Design who was instrumental in sourcing a lot of the interior fabrics.”

The house will be sold by expressions of interest with a closing date 28th June (unless sold prior).
